Is MultiPlan a legitimate network aggregator? And how can i tell if an insurance plan sold through them is ACA-compliant or not?

MultiPlan is a real network aggregator, but it's not an insurance company itself, it just provides access to a network of providers that insurers can use and plans that use the MultiPlan network are often not ACA compliant especially if they're sold outside the marketplace or sound too cheap. The easiest way to tell if a plan is ACA compliant is whether it's listed on Healthcare.gov or your state's exchange, if it's not, there's a good chance it doesn't meet ACA standards.

So MultiPlan is really just the network behind the plan, not the insurer itself. Do you know if theres a straightforward way to check whether a specific MultiPlan-based plan is ACA compliant without going through Healthcare.gov?
