After a few months on the plan, Ive found that specialist co-pays can be as low as just $15, and a lot of routine tests and teleconsult doctor visits are free. The app typically gives accurate pricing, tho it can be off if the provider details arent accurate. One downside is that co-pays can vary even within the same practice, and finding low cost providers can take more time than expected. Despite the issues, I prefer Surest over an HDHP coz of its lower co-pays and better access to care.

Awesome breakdown. Surest's kinda like a menu where the prices can catch you off guard,mostly decent deals,but you've gotta look closely. The app is super useful, and the copays are nice, but it can be confusing when the same doctor has different fees. Still way better than dealing with a huge deductible on an HDHP

Totally agree, way easier than an HDHP. Have you noticed if those price jumps happen more with specialists or general visits?

I can vouch for Surest. The low co-pays and free routine stuff make it feel way more manageable than any HDHP.
