The company I work at is undergoing a change, including the health insurance and how we're offered a choice between oscar health and surest insurance and I'm not sure which one to choose. Anyone have any experience with either?

Oscar Health and Surest offer different approaches to health insurance, and the best choice really depends on your personal needs.
I would advise carefully comparing the speficic plans and check how they match your usage and medications, with which your current doctors are affiliated, and what's the most you'd pay in a worst-case scenario.

I've dealt with Oscar, it is a decent app, but approvals can be slow, I haven't tried Surest yet, but I've heard it's more flexible

I've heard really good things about Surest if your company's plan uses their full model.
Their big selling point is upfront pricing and no deductibles.
This means you know your exact copay for a service before you go, which can be amazing for budgeting and avoiding bill surprises.
They try to steer you towards cost effective, quality providers by making those options cheaper for you
